About Dr. Hari J. Drayton

Dr. Hari J. Drayton A native of New York, Hari, has over 30 years of law enforcement experience and investigations with the New York City Department of Correction.
Additionally, Dr. Drayton has five years of security management experience working with Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs, and President Bill Clinton Global Initiative.
Dr. Drayton holds an Associate Degree in Corrections Administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Human Service, from State University of New York Empire, Master of Art in Legal Studies from American Public University, and a Doctorate in Criminal Justice, from the California University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Drayton has many years of teaching and training experience. He is the Program Director for the Master of Administration in Justice Involved Care at Morehouse School of Medicine and a Professor at Monroe College, where he teaches in the Criminal and Social Justice Department.  Dr. Drayton is a former Correction Academy Instructor. He is a Transformational Leader and Visionary who worked on redesigning some Department of Correction policies to improve outcomes with the former Commissioner and members of the New York City Mayor’s Office.

Dr. Drayton spearheaded a groundbreaking program at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office that achieved remarkable success. Under his leadership and expertise, this program graduated 29 Justice Involved Individuals, making a significant milestone in their journey towards rehabilitation and reintegration into society. Dr. Drayton’s unwavering commitment to providing comprehensive support and resources to these individuals has been instrumental in their transformation, empowering them to break free from the cycle of crime and make positive contributions to their communities. His visionary leadership and dedication to justice have undoubtedly made a profound impact on the lives of these graduates, offering them a second change at a brighter future. Dr. Drayton is looking forward to the next cohort and also expanding this program throughout the state of Georgia and in the very near future the country.
